Kawasaki India could be considering the launch of the KLX 150BF in India. The bike was on display at the IBW 2022 and here’s what we know about it.
The KLX 150BF is an off-road-ready motorcycle with a skinny overall build. It features a halogen headlight with bulb indicators, a single-piece seat, and high front/rear fenders. It also gets a bash plate and handlebar guards for added protection. Further, the exhaust too is quite upswept for added clearance while off-roading.
Powering the KLX 150BF is a 144cc single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke engine with the output rated at 11bhp and 11.3Nm of torque. It’s mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike is equipped with long travel USD front forks and monoshock while the braking hardware comprises a front petal disc and rear disc. It rides on spoked wheels wrapped in block pattern tyres for off-roading.
In the Philippines, Kawasaki has priced the KLX 150BF at PHP 132,400 (approximately Rs 1.93 lakh sans taxes). If Kawasaki India launches it here, the asking price could be over Rs 2 lakh as this is what the team suggested while conducting the price research at the IBW.
