Kawasaki India has launched the 2024 KLX300R and KX85 dirt bikes in India, which are aimed at budding motocross enthusiasts in the country. While the Kawasaki KLX300R is targeted towards experienced motocross riders, the KX85 will cater to aspiring off-road racers.
The KawasakiKX85 is powered by an 84cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke engine and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Although Kawasaki hasn’t revealed its power and torque figures, the company has revealed other key details about the bike.
The motorcycle is underpinned by a tubular, semi-double cradle frame that is suspended on 36mm USD forks up front and a monoshock at the back. While the front gets adjustable compression damping, the rear KYB shock is fully adjustable. The suspension offers 275mm of wheel travel at both ends. The KX85 rides on 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels fitted with Dunlop MX33 tyres.
The Kawasaki KLX 300R is powered by a 292-cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that pumps out 29bhp at 8,000rpm and 26.5Nm at 7,000rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The KLX300R comes fitted with USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock, along with 285mm of wheel travel at both ends.
The KLX300R features an ERGO-FIT four-way adjustable handlebar, which can be tailored to the rider’s size and preference. The motorcycle rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, which enables it to overcome obstacles on various trails efficiently.
