- Kawasaki likely to launch two electric bikes
- Could be called Ninja E2, Ninja E2R
- Likely to be unveiled at the 2022 EICMA
Kawasaki is planning to launch two new electric motorcycles in November. These motorcycles are rumoured to compete with the 125cc ICE motorcycles.
According to a report, the Japanese brand has been working on two electric motorcycles. These bikes are likely to be called the Ninja E2 and the Ninja E2-R. The former will be a street motorcycle whereas the latter will be a fully faired version of it. Both the names have already been trademarked by the company.
The rumoured report also suggests that the E2’s electric motor could produce peak power output almost twice its nominal rating. So a peak power of around 30bhp is possible. However, we will get a fair idea as we get closer to the launch date.
We believe that Kawasaki could launch these electric bikes at the 2022 EICMA show in Italy, or just before that to gain maximum traction.
