- Engine performance numbers leaked
- Makes less power and more torque than before
- Ninja 1000 is currently discontinued in India
Kawasaki has announced that it will globally unveil new products on 1 October and one of them is likely to be the new Ninja 1100. Ahead of the debut, some details of this motorcycle have been leaked through type approval document released in Switzerland.
The highlight of the motorcycle will be the bigger 1,099cc, inline four-cylinder engine that will replace the previous 1,043cc unit. Strangely, the leaked information reveals that the power output is down from 142bhp to around 135bhp, despite the bump in displacement. However, the torque output will marginally go up from the previous 111Nm to 113Nm. The new motorcycle will also have a slightly larger sprocket with one additional tooth which should result in a marginal improvement in acceleration.
As per the leaked data, there aren’t any changes to the dimensions of the bike and it will continue to have the same height, length, wheelbase, and weight. However, we expect Kawasaki to tweak the design of the motorcycle to help it stand out from its predecessor. There could also be more electronic aids since the ongoing model is a bit dull in that area. The rest of the details of the motorcycle will perhaps only be revealed at the official unveil on 1 October, 2024.
Kawasaki took the Ninja 1000 off its India website earlier this year. Considering the fact that it was one of the better-selling models in our country, the new Ninja 1100 will certainly arrive on our shores.
