- Ninja BEV, Z BEV electric bikes revealed
- Will go on sale in 2023
- Won’t be launched in India
Kawasaki has unveiled a number of bikes yesterday at the 2022 EICMA and two of these were electric. The brand is planning to take the Ninja electric bike along with the Z electric to world markets next year.
These electric bikes are being officially called the Z BEV and the Ninja BEV. From the looks of it, these bikes have been inspired by the Z400 and the Ninja 400, respectively. Both bikes are being positioned as entry-level electric performance bikes and will comply with A1 regulations.
These electric Kawasakis are powered by an 11kW motor and equipped with a 3.0 kWh battery back. As of now, there are no details about the overall riding range or charging time. But we expect these bikes to have decent performance numbers.
Kawasaki is planning to sell the Z BEV in Europe sometime next year. The Ninja BEV is a prototype as of now, but there’s a high chance of this bike also going on sale along with the Z BEV. However, these bikes won’t be launched in India anytime soon.
