Kawasaki is on a roll. It is in the process of releasing teaser videos of its upcoming Ninja H2 motorcycles every two-three days and honestly, they are quite tempting.
The first teaser showed few angles of the motorcycle, which didn’t reveal much information. The second teaser was fantastic where it revealed the sound of this new motorcycle, when put to test on a dynamometer. This video confirmed that the motorcycle in question will be powered by a four-cylinder supercharged engine that was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last year. We are expecting this engine would come either from the ZX-10R or the ZX-14R because Kawasaki has said through a hidden message on their website that the Ninja H2 is their next flagship model, taking away the tag from the Ninja ZX-14R. So supercharging one of the two best engines does make sense. The fourth teaser that was released just few minutes go, shows the old flagship models with the Ninja ZX-14R being the last one.
Also, at the end of the video, Kawasaki shows the silhouette of the Ninja H2, which makes us say just two words, “highly aggressive”. The front fascia looks big and wide. The fuel tank is big and shows some inspiration from the Ninja ZX-10R. The engine area is blacked out, whereas the tail section is very sharp and fat. Even if it replaces the ZX-14R from the flagship tag, the Ninja H2 is expected to be marketed as hypersport and not supersport or a sports tourer, due to its supercharged engine.
Kawasaki has remained tight lipped about the technical specifications, but if a manufacture like Kawasaki can develop a motorcycle that can cross the 200bhp mark with a naturally aspirated engine, it may easily cross the 250bhp figure with a supercharged engine.
