- Kawasaki celebrating 40 years of racing heritage
- Unveils 40th Anniversary Ninja ZX-25RR
- It gets a special paint scheme
Kawasaki is celebrating four decades of racing heritage this year and has marked the occasion by taking the wraps off the 40th Anniversary, special edition Ninja ZX-25RR in Indonesia. Although it is unlikely to enter the Indian shores anytime soon, the special details make it worth taking a look at this limited-edition offering.
It boasts the swanky Lime Green, Pearl Crystal White, and blue livery – a colour combination that represents the Kawasaki Racing team. The side fairings boast large ‘Kawasaki’ branding and comprise engine guards jutting out of an indent. Plus, there’s a ‘40th Ninja Anniversary’ logo on the fuel tank, the visor is smoked, and the alloy wheels come dipped in the green shade. All these visual elements are inspired by the Kawasaki ZXR750 race machine of the 1980s.
The mechanical specifications of the Ninja ZX-25RR special edition remain the same as the standard model. The highlight of the motorcycle is its 249.8cc, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 50bhp at 15,500rpm and 22.9Nm of peak torque at 14,500rpm. The standard equipment list comprises a quick shifter, traction control system, power modes, and ABS. It also gets an LED lighting system and a Bluetooth-enabled TFT screen. Even the suspension setup is adjustable!
In Indonesia, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR 40th Anniversary edition is available for Rp 138,000,000 (Rs. 7.45 lakh) which is more expensive than the standard RR that retails for Rp 133,500,000 (Rs. 7.21 lakh).
