Kawasaki India has launched the most expensive 400cc motorcycle in the country, the Ninja ZX-4R. It’s the third 400cc bike in the Japanese two-wheeler brand’s portfolio for India, and here is what we know about the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R.
The Ninja ZX-4R gets a sharp and thoroughbred supersport styling. It’s equipped with split LED headlights contributing to the sharp nose. The setup is topped by a transparent visor and the side profile gets a large fairing. The new Ninja gets a split-seat setup.
Powering the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is a 399cc inline four-cylinder motor that makes 75.9bhp at 14,500rpm and 39Nm at 13,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Kawasaki is yet to reveal whether the Ninja ZX-4R will get a quickshifter as standard or as an accessory. Then, its engine is nestled in a trellis frame. It’s suspended on USD front forks and a monoshock, while the braking hardware comprises dual front and single rear discs with dual-channel ABS. The brakes are linked to 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres.
On the feature front, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R gets smartphone connectivity, ride modes (Sport, Road, Rain or Rider), LED illumination, traction control, and a full TFT screen.
With an asking price of Rs. 8,49,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Ninja ZX-4R is currently the most expensive 400cc motorcycle in India. That said, it has no direct competition.
