Kawasaki has announced the launch of its much-awaited, quarter-litre motorcycle, the Ninja ZX-25R in the Indonesian market. Along with the launch, Kawasaki has also revealed the complete technical specifications of the inline four-cylinder powered motorcycle.
The Ninja ZX-25R will be available in two variants – standard and Special Edition. The standard model has been priced at IDR 96,000,000 while the Special Edition will be sold for IDR 112,900,000. The bookings are open for IDR 5,000,000.
The standard version of the motorcycle will be available in a single-tone paint – Metallic Spark Black. The Special Edition, on the other hand, will be offered in three, dual-tone colour choices – Lime Green/Ebony, Metallic Spark Black/Pearl Flat Stardust White and Candy Plasma Blue/Metallic Spark Blue. The motorcycle features trellis frame, full-fairing design, semi-digital instrument cluster, twin-pod LED headlight, an LED taillight, muscular fuel tank and split-style saddle.
In terms of performance, the 249cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine makes 49.3bhp (50.3bhp with RAM Air) of power at 15,500rpm and 22.9Nm of peak torque at 14,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from a bi-directional Kawasaki Quick Shifter as standard on the Special Edition.
The hardware on the motorcycle comprises of Showa SFF Big Piston USD adjustable forks and horizontal backlink adjustable rear suspension to perform the shock absorption tasks. Anchoring power comes from disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS, power modes and traction control system.
Apart from Indonesia, the motorcycle will be also offered in Japan and New Zealand. The Indian launch, however, is not likely to happen anytime soon.
