- Kawasaki ZX-25R will use an inline four-cylinder engine
- The motor will redline at 17,000rpm
- The motorcycle made a global debut in October 2019
A new teaser video of the Kawasaki ZX-25R has revealed that the motorcycle will arrive in Indonesia on 4 April 2020 at the Kawasaki Bike Week. The motorcycle made its global debut in October last year, although the Japanese two-wheeler brand remained tight-lipped about its power and torque output figures. Thus, we expect to hear the complete technical specifications of the Ninja ZX-25R at the motoring event in Indonesia.
As per the details that were revealed previously, the quarter-litre motorcycle uses an inline-four-cylinder engine. While the official power and torque figures are unavailable, rumours suggested that the ZX-25R will produce 59bhp of maximum power. The engine, as confirmed by another teaser video, redlines at a 17,000rpm. The six-speed gearbox benefits from a quick-shifter system while the safety features include a traction control and selectable power modes (Full or Low).
The Ninja ZX-6R inspired design includes twin-pod LED headlight, fairing integrated turn indicators at the front, muscular fuel tank and split-style saddle. Unlike the twin-cylinder-powered Ninja 250R, which is currently available in select international markets, the Ninja ZX-25R uses inverted telescopic Separate Function Forks at the front. Shock absorption duties at the rear are performed by a horizontal back-link suspension.
The Indian launch details are yet to be announced, although Kawasaki may import the model to our market via the CBU route. The Ninja ZX-25R, if launched in India, will carry a premium price tag.
