After numerous rumours and speculations on the internet, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR has been officially unveiled for international markets. The motorcycle has already created some buzz for all the good reasons. Although it will not come to India anytime soon, we have compiled the details and pictures of the bike here for motorcycle enthusiasts.
The biggest talking point about the Ninja ZX-4RR is its engine. In spite of a small 399cc displacement, it gets four cylinders placed in line which makes it an extremely high-revving and sweet-sounding machine.
Similar to the cylinder configuration, the power figures are equally mind-boggling for its displacement. It churns out as much as 76bhp at 14,000rpm and 37.6Nm of peak torque at 12,000rpm.
Further, the list of equipment is equally impressive. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox which is not only accompanied by an assist and slipper clutch but also a bi-directional quick shifter. This should make the motorcycle a breeze to ride on the track.
The rest of the electronic wizardry includes four riding modes (Sports, Road, Rain, and Rider), two power modes (full and low), a three-level traction control system, and dual-channel ABS.
Kawasaki has also equipped the Ninja ZX-4RR with a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster which is Bluetooth enabled and connects with the rider’s smartphone via the Kawasaki Rideology smartphone application.
Kawasaki has not shied away from bestowing the motorcycle with premium hardware. The front USD forks are preload adjustable while the rear monoshock can be tweaked for compression, rebound, and spring preload. Notably, the suspension setup is sourced from Showa.
In Indonesia, Kawasaki has pegged the Ninja ZX-4RR at RP 239,900,000 (Rs. 13.01 lakh). Considering the exclusivity and uniqueness it offers, the ZX-4RR has no real contender across the globe.
