Kawasaki revealed a one-off custom Z900RS at the 2018 Tokyo Motorcycle Show called the Z900RS Mk II.
While it uses the underpinnings of the standard Z900RS, the Mk II sports a supercharger and its intakes bolted on either side. Built by Japanese customizers, Doremi, the bike pays tribute to the 1977 Kawasaki Z1RTC, a supercharged Z1-R sold in the US and Japan at the time.
The tank, seat, tail section and indicators have all been replaced to replicate the retro look of the Z1. The Z900RS Mk II also sports anodized gold 18-inch Morrismag wheels and Doremi’s four-into-one pipe with dual exhausts on either side.
Doremi has not revealed the power figures of the supercharged Z900RS. However, the inclusion of a supercharger is sure to produce a higher power output than the stock bike. The stock Z900RS which was recently launched in India at Rs 15.3 lakh uses a 948cc in-line four cylinder engine that produces 108bhp and 98.5Nm of torque.
While Doremi makes parts that lend the Kawasaki Z900RS the look of the Z1, the supercharged Z900RS Mk II is a one-off. It is highly unlikely that the bike will be available in India anytime soon.
