- New KLE 500 adventure bike teased
- KLE 500 was discontinued in 2007
- Production-variant to be unveiled in 2025
Kawasaki is planning to add a new motorcycle to its adventure bike lineup. At the ongoing EICMA show, the company partially placed a motorcycle inside a box that read ‘Life’s a Rally. Ride it’ and ‘KLE’.
This makes it clear that the company plans to reintroduce the KLE brand. From 1991 until 2007, the company sold this motorcycle as a 500cc parallel-twin touring motorcycle. But thanks to the presence of a 21-inch spoke wheel at the front, the new KLE500 will be more of a proper adventure bike than a touring one.
There are a few more bits that make us believe this is a multicylinder adventure bike. There are two header pipes visible, and around it is a decently-sized radiator. The suspension travel also suggests the bike to be a hardcore off-road bike.
As of now, there aren’t many details on this Kawasaki but expect the production variant to make its global debut in 2025. It is still not clear whether the KLE 500 will replace the Versys X-300 but it looks like in certain markets like India, both bikes could exist.
