- Teased on Kawasaki India’s social media
- Brochure leaked, reveals abundant details
- India launch soon
Kawasaki India is set to launch its smallest road-legal retro offering. Earlier the rumors were that it could be the W800, but a newly leaked brochure reveals it to be the W175. Let’s take a look at all the details that have been leaked.
The upcoming Kawasaki W175 will feature a thorough retro design all over. From its round halogen headlight to the teardrop-shaped fuel tank and the skinny bodywork, the W175 packs a lot of old-school elements. It also gets a single-piece seat and tubular rear grab rail.
The W175 is powered by a 177cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor with the output rated 12.87bhp and 13.2Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and housed in a double-cradle frame. It’s suspended on gaitered telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. The braking hardware comprises a 270mm single front disc and a 110mm rear drum unit. It rides on 17-inch spoked wheels wrapped in 80/100 front and 100/90 rear tyres.
There’s no official announcement regarding the launch date and pricing of the new W175 as of now. But we expect Kawasaki to reveal the bike very soon.
