Kawasaki will launch its new supercharged naked roadster motorcycle, the Z H2 in the Japanese market on 4 April 2020. The company has already listed the motorcycle on its website, and it has been priced at 18,92,000 yen (about Rs 13.42 lakh). The new Kawasaki Z H2, which made its debut at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show in October last year, is expected to arrive in the Indian market.
The Z H2 packs features such as mirror finish body paint, LED headlight and taillight, Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT-display with Kawasaki Rideology App, split-style seats and twin-sided swingarm. The hardware on the motorcycle comprises Showa SSF BP upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, 290mm dual discs with Brembo M4.32 monobloc callipers at the front and a 226mm single disc with a two-piston calliper at the back.
The naked roadster is powered by a 998cc inline-four, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve engine that comes equipped with a supercharger. The motor is tuned to deliver 197bhp of peak power at 11,000 rpm and 137Nm of maximum torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine employs a six-speed transmission that benefits from a bi-directional quick-shifter and an assist-and-slipper clutch.
A comprehensive electronic package ensures rider safety. The electronic rider aids, which work with Bosch IMU, include four riding modes, Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System, Kawasaki traction Control and Kawasaki Launch Control.
The motorcycle will represent Kawasaki against the new Ducati Streetfighter V4, BMW S 1000 R, Yamaha MT-10 and the KTM 1290 SuperDuke R.
