- No change in price.
- Sports the same 948cc in-line four cylinder engine.
Kawasaki has introduced a new colour for the Z900 RS in India.
It gets a black paint scheme with gold highlights on the fuel tank. The wheels are now full-black. The bike does not get any change in price and continues to retail at Rs 15.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the Z900 RS is a 948cc in-line four cylinder engine similar to the one used in the Z900 streetfighter. This motor produces 108.4bhp and 98.5Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
The bike borrows its retro styling from the legendary Kawasaki Z1 although the LED headlamp and digital instrumentation adds a modern touch. The Kawasaki Z900 RS is brought to India as a CBU (completely built unit) and is positioned as an iconic product. Moreover, the Z900 RS has not found many takers since it was launched back in February this year. It competes against the BMW R nineT in India.
