- Indonesia launch previously scheduled on 4 April
- Bookings open in Indonesia
- New launch date yet to be announced
The new Kawasaki ZX-25R, which was previously scheduled to be launched in the Indonesian market on 4 April, has been postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic. The pre-booking process for the quarter-litre motorcycle in Indonesia started earlier this month (12 March).
While Kawasaki revealed most of the details, it has remained tight-lipped about the power output numbers. Rumours suggest that the 249cc, inline-four-cylinder engine could produce 59bhp of maximum power. While the performance numbers are still under wraps, a promotional video captured the motorcycle clock 160kmph in the fifth gear. Electronic rider aids include traction control, quick-shifter and two power modes (Full and Low).
In terms of design, the new Ninja ZX-25R draws inspiration from the ZX-6R. The feature list comprises of twin-pod LED headlight, an LED taillight and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Premium hardware on the motorcycle includes upside-down telescopic Separate Function Forks at the front and a horizontal back-link suspension at the back.
