Hungarian two-wheeler marquee, Keeway, has stepped foot in India with its first three offerings - K-Light 250V, Vieste 300, and Sixties 300i. The brand will co-exist with its sibling brand, Benelli, across its retail stores present in India.
Speaking of the K-Light 250V first, it’s a thorough cruiser offering with fairly large and eye-catching proportions. You get a round LED headlight with bulb indicators. The latter are mounted onto a wide one-piece handlebar. Keeway has plonked a 249cc air-cooled V-twin motor that's tuned to belt out 18.7bhp and 19Nm. This makes the K-Light 250V the only twin-cylinder cruiser on sale in India.
As for the Vieste 300 and the Sixties 300i, both the scooters use the same 278.2cc liquid-cooled engine that dishes out 18.7bhp and 22Nm. With that being said, the two are poles apart on the styling front.
The Vieste 300 is a Maxi scooter with sharp and edgy bodywork. It gets a split LED headlight that sits below a smoked windscreen. It features a fully digital console and keyless operation. On the other hand, the Sixties 300i gets a flowing and fairly curvy bodywork. Unlike the Vieste 300, the retro sibling doesn’t get the keyless function feature.
The official asking price will be revealed in a week’s time. We expect Keeway to price the three offerings somewhere between Rs 2.25 - 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Keeway has commenced online bookings for all three models on its official website for a token amount of Rs 10,000. Moreover, test rides will begin on May 26 at dealerships and deliveries will commence in early June.
