Chinese bike maker Keeway has unveiled an all-new rally-inspired adventure bike, the TX450R. The Keeway TX450R seems to have taken inspiration from Dakar rally bikes, and packs specifications and features that should entice adventure-seeking riders.
Coming to its styling, as we mentioned earlier, the Keeway TX450R takes design inspiration from a lot of Dakar rally motorcycles, especially some of the orange Austrian bikes. That said, it comes with premium features like full-LED lighting, full-colour TFT display and a large 28-litre fuel tank.
On the mechanical front, the TX450R is powered by a 449cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that develops a maximum output of 44bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 38Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is underpinned by a double-cradle cast-aluminium frame suspended by fully adjustable upside-down forks up front and a linkage-type monoshock. That said, the motorcycle gets a ground-breaking suspension travel of 280mm. Further, in typical ADV fashion, the TX450R rides on a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear spoke wheel combo, that are wrapped on Pirelli RallyCross MT21 tyres.
The Keeway TX450R is yet to be launched in the global markets, and needless to say, it isn’t expected to be launched in India anytime soon.
