The Indian market got the most expensive MV Agusta yet today – the F4 RC. This limited edition carries a whopping price tag of Rs 50.34 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).
MV Agusta has produced only 250 units of these and one was allotted to India. The Indian unit has already been sold to a customer in Chennai. The F4 RC is based on the F4 RR but gets a host of performance upgrades. This exclusive motorcycle is powered by a 998cc inline-four cylinder engine which produces 205bhp at 13,450rpm and maximum torque of 115Nm at 9300rpm. But with the racing kit, the same engine churns out 212bhp at 13,600rpm.
One of the main highlights of the F4 RC is the paint scheme which is based on the F4 Reparto Corse ridden by Leon Camier in the 2016 World Superbike Championship. The Italian manufacturer has used a lot of carbon fibre on the bike to make it as light as possible. Even the underside of the tail piece has been made using carbon fibre to reduce the weight. The wheels are forged aluminium with 120/70 front and 200/55 rear tyres. Just like the other bikes in its lineup, the F4 sports the latest technology like Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS) EM2.0 with torque control (four maps), eight-level traction control and the EAS 2.0 quickshifter.
Along with the bike, the customer gets a wooden box with carbonfibre finish. Inside there's an SC-Project titanium single-exit exhaust system and a dedicated race ECU. Each bike is individually numbered on the top of the triple clamp. The customer gets a protective cover and a certificate of authentication as well.
It is good to see companies like MV Agusta getting products like the F4 RC to India. Even though the premium bike segment in India is still developing, there are a few people who are ready to spend such an unbelievable amount for an exotic product.
