- Kinetic Group takes charge from DSK Motowheels
- Will sell Hyosung motorcycles through Motoroyale dealerships
- To continue offering support to existing owners
Kinetic Group will take over the reins of Hyosung in India from DSK Motowheels. Reports suggest that Kinetic plans to retain the existing network of Hyosung dealers as well as start selling its motorcycles through Motoroyale showrooms.
Hyosung has been selling motorcycles in India since 2011, first in association with Garware Motors and then with DSK Motowheels. Over these eight years, Hysoung has sold 7,000 motorcycles in the country. However, DSK Group has now run into financial woes, spelling trouble for the dealerships and existing owners. With this, Kinetic Group has stepped in to take charge of Hyosung’s operations in India. Reports suggest that Kinetic Group intends to retain the existing network of Hyosung dealerships and continue offering support to owners. Kinetic will also start selling Hyosung motorcycles through Motoroyale dealerships alongside MV Agusta and Norton motorcycles.
Interestingly, Kinetic Group was also involved during Hyosung’s first stint in India back in 2003, when it sold limited number of Comet 250 and Aquila 250 motorcycles. Kinetic Group has a manufacturing and assembly facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, which might be used to locally assemble Hyosung motorcycles.
