- Likely to get the new KTM AMT setup
- Could also feature Bosch radars system
- To debut on 22 and 24 October
KTM is all set to enter the EICMA this year with not one but a bunch of new motorcycles. The brand has already revealed the lineup on its official website. Of the lot, the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo is set to be launched on 22 October and the 1390 Super Adventure S is slated for 24 October.
The KTM 1390 Super Adventure has been spotted testing already. It appears big, brawny and appears to pack a lot of muscle. The bodywork is filled with angular fairings, sharp cuts and creases and the Super Adventure gets a tall stance too. Its front profile comprises vertically stacked LED lights. The top unit is horizontal whereas the second piece is an LED projector light. Both are bracketed by boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. KTM is also offering cornering lights right below the main unit.
The 1390 Super Adventure S and the Evo will be powered by a 1390cc V-Twin motor. It is the same motor that KTM uses for the 1390 Duke and belts out 190bhp and 145Nm. However, the output figures could be different given the application of the ADV. It will be linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefit from a quick-shifter. However, there will also be an optional AMT setup that KTM teased recently.
The 1390 Super Adventure’s hardware will likely comprise adjustable USD front forks and a monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware includes dual front and a single rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres. The bike will also get a host of electronics like ride modes, ABS modes, traction control, Bosch radar system for cruise control, lane detection and more.
Although KTM has plans to bring its big bikes to India, it's unlikely that the 1390 Super Adventure range will make the cut.
