Along with many small and big bikes, KTM also unveiled the 1390 Super Duke GT at the EICMA. While it is based on the existing 1390 Super Duke series, the GT version is a more touring and long-ride-focused trim. Here is what the bike has to offer.
On the design front, the 1390 Super Duke GT sports the same boomerang-shaped LED lights. However, it is flanked by a large and muscular fuel tank with extensions and also gets a large visor. Further, the handlebar on the 1390 Super Dule GT also appears slightly wider.
Powering the KTM 1390 Super Duke GT is a 1350cc twin-cylinder motor that makes 188bhp and 145Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter as well. Not only the power figures but also the main frame for the GT is the same as the Super Duke. It is suspended on WP’s semi-active USD forks and a monoshock.
Apart from the swanky suspension, the 1390 Super Duke GT also gets a host of electronics. The list includes ride modes (rain, street, sport, track), anti-wheelie control, traction control, a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity with access to navigation, and more.
Braking duties on the 1390 Super Duke GT are done by a pair fo 320mm front disc and 240mm rear discs and these are mounted on 17-inch cast aluminium wheels wrapped in Michelin Power 6 tyres.
