- Available in six colours
- Gets updated graphics
- India launch unlikely
Suzuki Motor Corporation has updated the parallel-twin engine-powered V-Strom 250 in international markets. Though this quarter-litre adventure tourer is available in select overseas markets, its India launch is highly unlikely. Previously, we brought you a brief report about this KTM 250 Adventure-rivalling Japanese motorcycle. Here, we explain the finer details of the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 250.
Does the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 250 get any styling changes?
The 2023 iteration of the V-Strom 250 does not get any styling revisions. Thus, this motorcycle retains a round headlight, a tall windscreen, semi-fairing with a beak-style front, a step-up saddle, and a side-slung exhaust. The colour palette includes six dual-tone options – Solid Dazzling Cool Yellow with Pearl Nebular Black, Metallic Diamond Red with Pearl Nebular Black, Pearl Nebular Black with Metallic Hightech Silver, Metallic Mat Flash Black with Pearl Nebular Black, Metallic Triton Blue with Pearl Nebular Black, and Pearl Macho Orange with Pearl Nebular Black. All paint themes carry identical graphics that are visible on the fairing and fuel tank.
What are the mechanical specifications of the 2023 Suzuki V-Storm 250?
The mechanical specifications on the 2023 Suzuki V-Storm 250 comprise a 248cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is claimed to deliver a healthy low-to-mid range torque. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor delivers a maximum output of 24bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 22Nm at 6,500rpm.
What features does the 2023 Suzuki V-Storm 250 get?
The feature list remains similar to the previous version, and the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 250 retains a halogen headlight, bulb-type turn indicators, an LED taillight, a DC outlet, ABS, and an LCD instrument cluster. However, unlike the India-spec Suzuki V-Storm SX, this quarter-litre model misses Bluetooth connectivity. Thus, the V-Strom 250 misses functions such as a turn-by-turn navigation system.
Meanwhile, the reverse-LCD instrument panel includes a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, dual trip meters, fuel gauge, oil change timing indicators, and a clock. It also shows ride-related data such as the gear position indicator, riding range, and average fuel consumption. The hardware, too, is different from the single-cylinder powered V-Storm SX. Then, the aluminium rear carrier at the back comes with 8.5kg of maximum capacity and is fitted with hooks for attaching straps that can also be used for installing the optional top case.
What hardware does the 2023 Suzuki V-Storm 250 use?
Unlike the V-Strom SX, the international-spec 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 250 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. In comparison, the V-Storm SX uses a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. These 17-inch wheels are shod in 110/80-section front and 140/70-section rear tubeless tyres. The suspension tasks are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, while the anchoring department includes disc brakes on both wheels. Other key dimensions comprise 800mm of seat height, 160mm of ground clearance, a 17.3-litre fuel tank, and a kerb weight of 188kg.
