- Entire motocross range launched in India
- All three bikes are oriented for track use only
- Can be ordered directly from the KTM website
KTM India has launched its entire motocross range in India. This also includes the smaller capacity bikes including the 50 SX, 65 X, and 85 SX and these are priced at Rs. 4.75 lakh, Rs. 5,46,500, and Rs. 6,69,000 (all ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
The 50 SX, 65 X, and 85 SX are all track-only motocross bikes and more oriented for young riders exploring off-road riding. The overall bodywork for these bikes is quite simple and minimal. All of them get a panel at the front, an upswept exhaust, side panels and a fuel tank cover.
Powering the KTM 50 SX is a single-cylinder 49.9cc two-stroke engine that makes 5.4bhp and 5.2Nm. It is linked to a single-gear automatic setup. On the other hand, the 65 X uses a 64.9cc single-cylinder two-stroke motor that belts out 10.6bhp and it is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Last but not least, the KTM 85 SX uses an 84.9cc single-cylinder engine that makes 16.4bhp and 14Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The hardware too for all three bikes is the same - XACT 35 WP USD 35 mm front forks, and a monoshock. The brakes comprise a 160mm front and rear unit for the 50 SX whereas the 65 X and the 85 SX use larger units. The major difference between all three bikes is the spoke wheel size apart from the motor capacity.
