KTM India has showcased the 890 Adventure R at the India Bike Week 2022 in Goa. It’s displayed alongside a slew of other KTM motorcycles and here’s what we know about it.
Donning a thorough off-ready look, the KTM 890 Adventure features a vertically stacked split LED headlight topped by a smoked windscreen. It’s equipped with handlebar guards and a belly pan for added protection. Powering the KTM ADV is an 889cc LC8c parallel twin engine with the output rated at 103bhp and 100Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and nestled in a steel tube frame suspended on WP front forks and a WP monoshock with compression and rebound adjustability.
On the feature front, it gets a TFT screen to toggle through various rider aids like traction control, ABS, ride modes and more. However, the 2023 model now has an updated instrument console that gets smartphone connectivity and more features than before.
As of now, KTM India has displayed the 890 Adventure R only to gauge the audience’s attention and hasn’t made any official launch announcements in the country.
