KTM Duke 390 prices for UK revealed

KTM has revealed the price of their new motorcycle, the Duke 390, for the UK market. The single cylinder43bhp bike has been priced at £4,500 (Rs 3.9 lakh), giving us hint of cost in India. It is only 300 GBP (Rs 26,000) expensive than the Duke 200, despite the fact that it is made here and exported to UK.

As both the Duke 200 and 390 are manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant in Pune, we expect the difference in pricing ton be negligible. Both motorcycles will be sharing a lot of components due to which the company will be able to keep the costs low and pass on the benefits to the customer.

Unfortunately, we might have to wait a bit for this naked version of the Duke 390. Few days back we had reported that KTM will be launching a fully faired version in India. This is mainly because, faired version will attract more buyers in India than the naked version and also to avoid cannibalization of the smaller bike due to marginal difference. With the additional costs of fairing we expect the prices to be in the range of Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh.

KTM will as well launch the naked version of the 390 in future and prices should start around Rs 1.80 lakh.
