Previously, Triumph Motorcycles confirmed that it will unveil the all-new Speed Triple 1200 RS on January 26, 2021. Now, KTM has released a teaser of a new motorcycle that will be unveiled on the same day as the Speed Triple 1200 RS. The details, however, are limited to the launch date. The text “The World Gets Smaller” hints towards an ADV segment product, while the racetrack background suggests a sporty motorcycle.
The motorcycle that fits the description is the 1290 Super Adventure series that comprises of two models – R and S. Moreover, if you have been following the updates, a technical snag revealed the model pages for the 2021 1290 Super Adventure R and Super Adventure S a few days ago. Thus, we would most likely see the 2021 Super Adventure series on the aforementioned date.
As per the leaked information, the 2021 KTM Super Adventure R and Super Adventure S will come equipped with a radar-based adaptive cruise control system – a feature that’s already available on rivals such as the Ducati Multistrada V4. The 2021 series will also get a low-slung fuel tank – a feature that we have already seen on the KTM 790/890 Adventure. The R model will feature tubeless tyre-compatible wire-spoke wheels while the S variant will use alloy wheels.
