The annual report, which confirmed a 'revolutionary' parallel-twin engine and Husqvarna's 390 and 690-based Vitpilen range, says the Austrian company has been working on a ‘model equipped with an alternative drivetrain system to meet the requirements of urban mobility scenarios’.
The fact that the new drivetrain system is meant for urban scenarios, we can expect the vehicle to likely be a battery-powered scooter. KTM has already developed a motorcycle is with both those things, the E-Speed electric scooter concept from 2013. The E-Speed was planned for production in 2015 but the firm dropped the idea around a year after the concept was first shown.
The document says the project is only in the concept development stage. That means, there is no idea to when we might see this bike or what the alternative drivetrain could consist of.
