- Kymco KRV 180 maxi-scooter revealed
- Features ABS and traction control system
- Unlikely to enter the Indian market
Kymco has showcased the KRV 180 maxi-scooter at the 2021 Beijing International Motorcycle Exhibition. The company has also showcased the RKS 150, about which we have already reported. For the uninitiated, Kymco is a Taiwanese brand that has sales network in 107 countries.
The Kymco KRV 180 is a sharp and stylish-looking maxi-scooter. It gets an aggressive front fascia, an edgy side profile and a KRV badge on its side. It gets features like all LED lights, a full-LCD instrument cluster, single-piece seat, front storage space and a USB port. It is further equipped with safety features like ABS and a traction control system.
The maxi-scooter is powered by a 175.1cc water-cooled TKE engine that churns out 16.8bhp at 8,000rpm and 15.5Nm at 6,500rpm. For better-stopping power, it employs a 270mm disc at the front and a 235mm disc at the rear. The KRV 180 runs on 13-inch wheels. Those wheels are wrapped in tyres having 110mm width at the front and 130mm width at the rear.
There are four colours on offer: Silver, Sea Blue, Pink and Black. Meanwhile, the details related to its availability and pricing are yet to be known. However, the chances of the maxi-scooter entering the Indian market are pretty slim.
