- New Lambretta gets unique bodywork
- Has a riding range of 130kms
- India launch unlikely
Lambretta has finally unveiled the electric scooter that the world has been wanting – the Elettra – has just been unveiled at the ongoing 2023 EICMA show in Italy.
From the pictures, it is clear that the authentic styling of the scooter has been retained but now has a lot of modern design elements in it. Built around a steel frame, the Eletrra rides on 12-inch wheels and gets a quirky rear section. The bodywork at the back can be lifted for maintenance purposes.
The electric motor on the Lambretta makes continuous and peak power of 4kW and 11 kW, respectively. The maximum speed of the two-wheeler stands at 110kmph. There are three riding modes- eco, ride and sport. The eco gives a maximum range of 130 km.
Currently, this is just a concept two-wheeler, and there is information on whether the scooter will go into production. And even if it does, there’s very little chance of the e-scooter making its way to India.
