- Two new Lambretta scooters unveiled
- One gets classic styling
- G350 is powered by a 350c engine
Lambretta – a scooter brand that used to have the highest brand value in India many years ago has unveiled two new scooters.
The first scooter goes by the name G350 Special and is a classic scooter. It is built around a monocoque frame and sports interchangeable side panels. A lot of design inspirations have been taken from the old Lambrettas. But for the modern world, the company has given it LED lights, disc brakes, TFT instrument cluster and also ABS.
The Lambretta G350 Special is powered by a 350cc single-cylinder engine that makes a healthy 26bhp of peak power. The torque figure hasn’t been revealed yet but expects to happen in the next few weeks.
The X300 has been designed for the younger world. That’s why the overall design language is more modern and is equipped with some practical tech for the target audience. Just like the G350, the X300 also gets a lot of modern equipment like ABS, LED lights and an electronic key fob.
These scooters are expected to go on sale later this year in Europe. We don’t think Lambretta would renter India with these expensive scooters as the segment is at a nascent stage.
