- UK-based Lexmoto unveils new adventure scooter
- It can achieve a top speed of 128kmph
- Comes with optional hard panniers for storing luggage
UK-based two-wheeler brand Lexmoto has unveiled its new offering, the XDV300, for the international markets. With its adventure-oriented persona, the XDV is a reminder that scooters can be way more than just point A to B commuters.
Similar to Honda’s X-ADV, the XDV300 speaks of its adventure intentions with a tall and rugged stance comprising a wide and imposing front apron with a split-type LED headlamp and a tall windscreen. It is adorned with a muscular bodywork front to rear while a chunky exhaust, large 13-inch wheels, and block-pattern tyres enhance the domineering visual appeal further.
Matching its fancy styling is an impressive list of features including heated grips, adjustable windscreen, full-LED lighting, and a data-extensive fully-digital instrument console. Touring enthusiasts can also deck it up with three hard panniers for storing luggage while still having enough space for comfortable two-up touring. It also gets a sizeable 13.5-litre fuel tank.
Powering the Lexmoto XDV300 is a Euro5-compliant, 279cc, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power output of 25.5bhp at 8,250rpm. It’s claimed to be capable of achieving 128kmph of top speed. As for the hardware package, bringing the XDV300 to a halt is a single disc at both ends along with KYB forks up front and preload-adjustable, gas-charged springs at the rear.
As of now, Lexmoto is unlikely to enter the Indian shores. However, for those who want a premium touring-centric scooter can consider the Keeway Vieste 300 or the BMW C 400 GT, if budget is not a constraint.
