- 30 riders to take delivery in Valencia, Spain
The limited edition 2023 KTM RC 8C was sold out within 2 minutes and 38 seconds of the commencement of its bookings. This track-only motorcycle was produced in limited numbers of 200 units. Out of the total buyers, 30 have opted to take delivery of their motorcycles at an exclusive handover event to be held next spring in Valencia, Spain. Meanwhile, KTM has created an online waiting list awarding interested buyers another opportunity to own this limited-edition RC 8C in the event of a cancellation.
The 2023 model gets several updates over the previous version. This version of the KTM RC 8C gets a fresh coat of paint, a tweak to the aero package, upgraded electronic features, more weight-saving solutions, and high-end components. The engine has been tweaked too, and the unit on the 2023 model makes more power. This motor produces 133bhp at 11,000rpm and 98Nm of peak torque at 8,250rpm.
The power output has been increased by 6.9bhp and this has been achieved through modifications like the installation of new, lighter titanium valves and conrods, two piston rings, higher compression ratios, a bigger throttle body, and a bolstered fuel pump/pressure. Further, the company has also increased the clutch preload, removed the top balancer, and adjusted the crankcase balancer shaft to deliver durability gains. Moreover, this motorcycle uses brand-new titanium Akrapovic exhaust system that helps it achieve lighter weight.
The electronic rider aids comprise traction control, mapping, and engine braking. The owners can further make changes by adjusting the steering head, throttle response, and degree of bite from the Brembo Stylema callipers and RCS19 Corsa Corta master cylinder. Meanwhile, the cockpit includes a revamped dashboard with a GPS data logger and KTM RC16 (MotoGP motorcycle) derived handlebar switches.
