KTM has unveiled the 2024 RC 8C and this one is a limited edition as only 100 units will be manufactured. Pre-orders for this bike will begin on KTM’s official website at 3 pm on 20 March. The registration amount is set to EUR 1,000. Buyers will be able to choose the delivery of their 2024 KTM RC 8C at the nearest KTM dealership or Portimão, Portugal. However, to avail of the latter, prospective buyers will also have to make a mandatory purchase of the Race Parts package for the bike.
Speaking of the 2024 KTM RC 8C’s visuals, its design takes inspiration from the Austrian brand’s GP bike, the RC 16. So, it gets a sleek and aerodynamic design with a large air intake at the front, and appendages on each side for downforce. The entire bodywork is constructed from Carbon Kevlar and the 2024 RC 8C tips the scale at 142kg dry.
It is powered by an 889cc LC8c parallel twin-cylinder engine that makes 135bhp. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and nestled inside a steel tubular frame. The setup is suspended on 43mm WP Apex Pro forks and a WP Apex remote adjustable monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking duties are done by 290mm dual front discs and a single 230mm rear disc with Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta radial master brake cylinders. These brakes are mounted on lightweight Dymag wheels wrapped in Pirelli race slicks.
The 2024 KTM RC 8C comes with a five-inch TFT housing a race dash, and data logger with built-in GPS functionality.
As of now, the pre-bookings will only commence in Europe, USA, Mexico, Canada, and South Africa. The asking price for the 2024 KTM RC 8C is set at USD 41,499 (approximately Rs. 34.37 lakh sans taxes).
