- MV Agusta 1000 RR Assen edition breaks cover
- Is limited to 300 units
- Will not be launched in India
MV Agusta has taken the wraps off a special-edition Brutale 1000 RR for global markets. Called the Assen edition, the motorcycle pays homage to the iconic racetrack.
Now, the Brutale 1000RR Assen is based on the motorcycle of the same name so the underpinnings including the engine, hardware and features are the same. However, the styling is different. The Assen edition receives carbon fiber and aluminum bits, blue Alacantra seats and a special paint scheme of silver, blue and gold. What makes the motorcycle even more special is its exclusivity. Made in Italy, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR Assen edition will be available in 300 units.
Powering the Brutale 1000 RR is a 998cc, inline-four cylinder motor that churns out 208bhp and 116Nm. Tipping the scales at 183kg, the bike boasts of a power to weight ratio of 1.1 hp per kg. Suspension is taken care of by Ohlins Nix EC forks up front and a TTX shock at the rear- both with 120mm of travel.
Now apart from the top-spec components, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR also gets a Special Parts kits that include CNC machine brake and clutch levers, aluminum fuel cap, a carbon fiber pillion seat as well as a titanium Arrow exhaust. While the Brutale 1000 RR is surely an eye catcher, it is unfortunately not making its debut in India anytime soon and will be available in international markets.
