- LiveWire to unveil new electric bike
- Unveil on May 10
- First EV from Arrow architecture
Harley-Davidson’s electric bike company – LiveWire will unveil its new electric bike on May 10. This bike is likely to be called Del Mar and will be the first bike to come out of its new arrow EV platform.
The company released a teaser video that showcased the brand’s factory rider riding on a flat track. Interestingly, at the end of the video, the brand showcased some bit of its upcoming EV model and from the looks of it, it is similar to a standard ICE motorcycle.
This new Arrow EV architecture uses the battery pack and connects with the steering head in the front and motor and swingarm at the rear to make a chassis. This architecture is modular as the brand can use different battery and motor sizes to launch new models.
We can expect multiple design styles from this platform which will help the brand make its presence felt in various segments. Post the launch of Del Mar, Livewire will bring the S3 models, which are likely to be entry-level motorcycles. The last S4 models are likely to replace the current Livewire which is almost a few years old now.
