- Locin Voge 500DS adventure tourer introduced in Europe
- Powered by a 471cc Euro5 engine
- Rivals the Honda CB500X and the Benelli TRK502X
Loncin Voge 500DS has made its debut in the European market. Loncin Motors is a Chinese brand that produces more than three million motorcycles annually. The company had rolled out its first motorcycle in 1998 and to date has collaborated with brands like BMW Motorrad and MV Agusta.
The Voge 500DS is an adventure tourer that comes with features like full-LED light, twin DRL's at the front, a colour TFT screen to provide riding information, a USB socket, Bluetooth and a smoked windshield which can be lowered by 5cm.
Powering the bike is a 471cc inline two-cylinder Euro5 engine which churns out 45.6bhp of power at 8500rpm and 40.5Nm of twist at 7000rpm. All this power and torque are put down via a six-speed gearbox. The ride here is taken care of by Kayaba 41mm inverted fork at the front and Kayaba shock absorber at the rear. For effective braking, it employs a dual 298mm disc at the front with Nissin callipers and a 240mm disc at the rear. It also gets ABS as a safety feature.
The bike is available in three colour options: Grey, Black and Red. And, it is currently priced at Euro 6,095, which converts to Rs 5.44 lakh. It competes against the likes of the Honda CB500X and the Benelli TRK502X. However, the Chinese brand doesn't seem to have any plans to enter the Indian market.
