Mahindra continues testing new Mojo variant

Mahindra’s new variant of the Mojo has once again been spotted testing in Karnataka. In a first, the completely undisguised test mule featured a tail rack and pannier mounts.
To keep costs in check, this variant of the Mojo gets telescopic front forks in place of the USD setup, and a single exhaust canister. The golden ‘ribs’ are now blacked out. It also gets the tail rack and the pannier mounts from the Mojo Touring edition. We do not expect any change in the powertrain, and it will retain the 295cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine.
Last year, Mahindra had revealed its intention to launch new variants of the Mojo, though the plans now seem to have been postponed. We can expect the new variant to be unveiled during the 2018 Auto Expo. Besides this new variant, we can expect the company to introduce ABS for the standard model. The new entry-level Mojo will rival against the Royal Enfield Classic 350, UM Renegade Sports S and the KTM 250 Duke.
