Mahindra Two Wheelers is developing an all-new 110cc scooter codenamed ‘G101’.AutocarPro reports that the scooter is almost ready and is in the final development stage and will be unveiled at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo along with the Mojo 300.
The upcoming 110cc scooter is very important for the company as it is using it to revive the falling scooter sales. This new scooter is expected to be powered by a completely new 110cc engine and will be the company’s first scooter in the growing 110cc segment. Currently, the Pune-based manufacturer has the Kine in 75cc segment and the Duro, Flyte and Rodeo in the 125cc segment. With the introduction of this new scooter, it will bridge the gap between these two segments. However, one thing is certain, the new scooter’s name will end with an ‘O’, just like most of their product line-up.
“The 110cc scooter is MTWL’s utmost priority in the immediate future, following which we will see the ambitious Mojo motorcycle. MTWL plans to introduce at least two new products, one of which will be powered by an entirely new engine," said a source to Autocar professional.
