- 3 Jawa bikes under development
- Likely to be unveiled by the end of this year
- Will launch with 100 dealerships
A few months ago, we told you about Classic Legends', in which Mahindra has a stake, intention of introducing Jawa in India this year. Now, new reports suggest that the company is working on not one, but three new motorcycles.
In a recent interview, one of the top honchos of Classic Legends mentioned about the three bikes that the company is working on. Unfortunately, no more details were revealed in that interview. But the company did say they plan to launch the bikes with 100 dealerships. Around 64 dealers from across the country have already shown interest, due to the heritage brand value of Jawa.
“We had two options: you start from the point where it ended. Or start where it would have gone had it not ended at the time. From a design POV, it’s got that golden ratio that transcends through time. With the lines you can recognise it’s a Jawa," said Anupam Thareja, founder, Classic Legends.
The company has managed to keep these upcoming bikes as secretive as possible but rumours suggest that these bikes will be built on the Mojo’s platform and will get the 300cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine.
