Mahindra recently removed the Duro standard version from their website. Our sources have now confirmed that Mahindra has stopped production of the standard version and only the Duro DZ is on sale now.
The standard Duro was upgraded to the DZ which will continue to be sold in the Indian market. The scooter gets the large traditional analogue instrument cluster with the handlebar set high. The Duro DZ comes equipped with a glove compartment under the handlebar, a large underseat storage and a big six litre fuel tank.
The Mahindra Duro DZ is powered by a four-stroke 124.6cc engine that produces 8bhp of power and 9Nm of torque. It comes mated to an automatic gearbox. The Duro DZ is available in both self and kick-start options and boasts of an advanced telescopic suspension.
The 125cc scooter is available in seven paint schemes – royal purple, supreme silver, derby red, pearl white, mystique grey, cappuccino brown and fiery black. It is priced at Rs 44,850 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and goes up against the Suzuki Swish 125.
