Mahindra genZe, the company’s first electric scooter is expected to be launched in the US this year. The exact dates are not yet confirmed but will happen sometime in the middle of this year.
This single-seater electric scooter has been completely developed in Silicon Valley. The company claims that it has been designed to carry groceries and laundry with ease. It also allows the rider to charge the laptop or a handheld device while you ride. It gets a 7-inch touch screen display that shows data like battery remaining and distance covered.
The company hasn’t revealed any specifications regarding the scooter yet but confirmed that the genZe will come with a lithium-ion integrated power module which combines the controller, battery pack and charger in one compact chassis. The scooter is expected to be targeted towards a younger audience and will be positioned as a lifestyle two-wheeler. Talking about if this scooter will make its way to India, well, there is a minute possibility. But it is sure the production model will be tweaked majorly to suit the Indian market.
