The image of an update Mahindra Mojo 300 has been leaked on the web. A fan of PowerDrift has sent this image which looks like a slide of a Power Point presentation. The Mojo 300 was spotted testing two weeks back in Pune but it was the same one with minimal front fairing that was first unveiled in 2010. This however looks like a complete overhaul of the motorcycle.
In this image the Mojo 300 looks more like an adventure touring motorcycle from the front. Mahindra has replaced the upside down forks with the traditional upright telescopic front. The dual round headlamps have been replaced with a projector and a stock bulb. Mahindra has earlier confirmed its plans to overhaul the Mojo before the launch and these changes will make the motorcycle more contemporary and appealing in the Indian market.
The motorcycle will feature a 300cc DOHC four valve engine that will produce around 26bhp of power at 8500rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7000rpm.The machine will sport the Ducati electronic fuel injection system that will enhance the performance and at the same time reduce the emissions. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel thorough a six-speed gearbox. The Mojo 300 will also feature a gas charged mono shock, dual exhaust and mirror mounted mirrors.
Earlier this year, the company had confirmed to launch the Mojo 300 in next fiscal year and we are just two days away from start of 2013-14. We are expecting Mahindra to launch this motorcycle soon. The fate of this motorcycle will depend on its pricing and whether it will be priced competitive enough to take on the Kawasaki Ninja 300 which is likely to be launched in the next couple of weeks.
