The Mahindra Mojo 300 has been spied testing in Pune again. The bike was camouflaged and carried a registration number plate. The number of times the motorcycle has been spotted has gone up, making us believe that the launch is not far off.
First showcased in 2010 as a concept, the production version of the Mahindra Mojo was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo, along with the racing version. The company has reworked the front cowl since the Auto Expo and the daytime running lamps, and the exhausts are smaller in size.
The Mahindra Mojo will use a 300cc DOHC four-valve engine that will churn out 26bhp of power at 8500rpm and 24Nm of peak torque at 7000rpm. The motorcycle gets a six-speed gearbox and is equipped with a Ducati electronic fuel injection system. One of the highlights of this bike is its dual exhausts. Currently, the Suzuki Inazuma is the only other motorcycle under 300cc to get dual exhausts.
Mahindra has also registered the domain www.mahindramojo.com which redirects to their official two-wheeler site. Let’s hope Mahindra price the Mojo aggressively, as its closest competition the KTM 390 Duke ABS retails for little over Rs 2 lakh and with the recent Rs 1 lakh price cut, the Suzuki Inazuma is now present in the Mojo’s price bracket as well.
