Mahindra seems to be leaving no stone unturned with the Mojo 300 as the motorcycle was once again spotted testing wearing heavy camouflage. This time, the photographer claims that the test rider was easily clocking 150kmph in his attempts to evade the shutterbugs.
Though the claim cannot be officially proved, we can expect the Mojo 300 to be capable of touching 150kmph, because of its engine configuration. The Mojo 300 had aroused a lot of interest among the biking community when it was first unveiled back in 2010. With its aggressive styling, powerful engine and twin-exhausts, the Mojo 300 seemed to be a revolutionary motorcycle but sadly, it never made it to the production line. As compared to the original concept, the Mojo 300 test mule seemed to be mildly revised to make it more production feasible.
The front cowl and the DRLs have been redesigned and the dual-exhausts seem to be smaller in size. The front continues to sport twin headlamps with LED DRLs and large air intakes below the sculpted fuel tank. The Mojo 300 gets gas-charged monoshock at the rear and inverted telescopic fork at the front.
The Mojo 300 will be powered by a single-cylinder 292cc engine which is expected to churn out 26bhp and 25Nm of torque. The liquid cooled unit also gets electronic fuel injection and will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Mojo 300 made its appearance once again at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year, where Mahindra showcased a production ready as well as a race-spec version of the motorcycle at the biennial event. The Mojo 300 is expected to be launched before the end of this year and will compete with the KTM Duke 390, Honda CBR250R, Suzuki Inazuma and the upcoming Kawasaki Z250.
