The Mahindra Mojo is still due for a launch and the company has now started accepting bookings for the motorcycle at Rs 10,000. This means we can expect an imminent launch of the new 300cc motorcycle.
The Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 300cc DOHC four-valve engine that might churn out around 26bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Mojo features a twin headlamp setup with DRLs, a gas charged monoshock at the rear and gets dual exhausts. With a newly designed fuel tank and new front cowl, unlike the one seen at the 2012 Auto Expo, the Mojo has evolved thanks to the continuous testing for all these years. The company has equipped this motorcycle with the Ducati electronic fuel injection system that improves the performance while making sure that the CO2 gas emissions are in control.
The Mahindra Mojo was displayed at the 2014 Nepal Auto Show after it was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in India. The manufacturer has literally taken the bike to different places for testing including the treacherous Ladakh region in India. However, it still remains to be seen if the considerable delay in the launch of the Mojo has added to the dismay of prospective buyers or not.
Mahindra is still doing its best to keep the enthusiasm built and plans to deliver 100 bikes to customers by the end of this month. We will soon get to know the exact launch date of Mahindra's new flagship motorcycle, which is expected to be priced in between Rs 1.65 lakh to Rs 1.85 lakh.
