Yes, according to the rumours Mahindra is all set to launch its premium 295cc motorcycle in Nepal. The flagship motorcycle will be launched at the 2016 Nepal Auto Show. As part of the launch event, two riders aboard Mojos will ride from Pune to Nepal.
The two riders were flagged off by PS Ashok, Vice President, Research and Development at Mahindra Two Wheeler Limited. The duo will cover a total distance of 1,200kms from Pune to Nepal. The riders are already on their way and are enroute Jhansi. They will ride through Jhansi, Indore, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur to reach Nepal by the end of next month. Sarath Shenoy and Derrick Daniel are the two riders chosen for this border-crossing ride.
The Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 295cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which delivers 27bhp and 30Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. The instrument cluster gets an analogue tachometer along with a digital display. Besides the standard functionalities, this console also shows a speed test meter which records the 0-100kmph time, a maximum speed recorder, a malfunction light and an RPM recorder. There is also a limp home mode which basically restricts the engine to 5000rpm whenever it detects an engine malfunction.
The Mahindra Mojo is available in three colour options – glacier white, charcoal black and volcano red.
