Mahindra Two Wheelers have finally launched the Mojo at Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This is an introductory price which is valid for all bookings till Diwali.
The Mojo is a naked motorcycle, which the company is marketing as a tourer. With a comfortable upright handle bar, long seat and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, the Mojo is an impressive and practical motorcycle. With a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres which is the largest in its class, the Mojo can easily cover 600kms before heading to a petrol station.
The Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 295cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which delivers 27bhp and 30Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. The instrument cluster gets an analogue tachometer along with a digital display. Besides the standard functionalities, this console also shows a speed test meter which records the 0-100kmph time, a maximum speed recorder, a malfunction light and an RPM recorder. There is also a limp home mode which basically restricts the engine to 5000rpm whenever it detects an engine malfunction. The Mahindra Mojo is available in three colour options – glacier white, charcoal black and volcano red. As of now, the company claims that 100 bikes have already been booked through invitation. With this price tag, Mahindra has smartly placed the Mojo between the KTM Duke 200 and the Honda CBR250R.
"All of us at Mahindra are extremely proud of the Mojo. It has been developed in-house, with inputs from global partners and is designed to be on par with global products in this class. Mojo leverages deep consumer insights to serve many distinct needs of passionate biking enthusiasts. Testimony to this, is the fact that we already have 100 invite based pre-bookings for the Mojo,” said Pawan Goenka, executive director, Mahindra.
