Mahindra Mojo may be launched in India with a new and revise styling in next few months reports Autocar India. The Mojo was first unveiled in 2010 and was supposed to be launched in 2011 but the company decided to postpone the launch. Since then the company has been working on the Mojo to make it a good deal for the Indian motorcycle enthusiasts.
The revised Mojo is expected to have a redesigned tank and sport fairing panels which will make the motorcycle look more inspiring and aggressive. The reason the Pune based maker is taking time to develop this motorcycle is because the Mojo will be its first premium motorcycle in the country.
The motorcycle will feature a 300cc DOHC four valve engine that will produce around 26bhp of power at 8500rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7000rpm.The machine will sport the Ducati electronic fuel injection system that will enhance the performance and at the same time reduce the emissions. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel thorough a six-speed gearbox. The Mojo 300 will also feature a gas charged mono shock, dual exhaust and mirror mounted mirrors. It is very unlikely the company will tweak its mechanical bits as that will shoot up their R&D costs.
Mahindra Two Wheelers has confirmed to launch the Mojo this fiscal year so we can expect the motorcycle to be launched at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Pricing will play an important factor as it will have to compete with an aggressively priced KTM Duke 390.
